Infection Control and Prevention Basics for Healthcare Workplaces shows how infections spread, and the routine practices you can use to prevent the transmission of microorganisms/germs that cause infections in any healthcare setting.
Medical Terminology
The Medical Terminology course provides an introduction to the professional language used by those who are directly and indirectly involved with the art of healing. The course will also introduce those not currently involved in the health care environment with an introduction to the language of medicine. In addition, the program will provide participants with the basics of human anatomy and physiology.
The Respectful Workplace
The Respectful Workplace is designed to educate participants about their rights and responsibilities in the workplace. The course identifies attitudes and behaviours which contribute to a respectful workplace as well as those that are inappropriate. Specific types of offensive behaviours, including discrimination, harassment and personal harassment (bullying) are defined and examined. Emphasis is on developing appropriate workplace behaviours and knowing how to respond to incidents involving inappropriate behaviours.
The course includes scenario-based, interactive activities, which provide participants with practical situations in which they must select appropriate behaviours and appropriate responses to the behaviours of others.
GHS Training for Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Practice Employees
OSHA has revised its Hazard Communication Standard to include new GHS labeling elements and a GHS standardized format for Safety Data Sheets (formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets). This course introduces dentists, dental hygienists, and other dental practice employees to the GHS and provides them with the information necessary to readily locate information about workplace chemicals, as found on GHS product labels and on the new SDSs.
Bloodborne Pathogens - The Basics
This program is designed for individuals who may be exposed to blood and body fluids or items contaminated with blood during the performance of their work and who wish to gain a basic understanding of blood-borne pathogens.
